President Obama was named as the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize winner early this morning.

Around 11 am he addressed the country and world saying that he “will accept the award as a call to action.” A call that can not be taken on by one country or one administration. It is to be taken on by everyone because we all have a stake in peace in our individual communities and around the world.

As President Obama clearly stated, “The award is about the courageous efforts around the world.” It is those courageous efforts and acts that will move the world to a more peaceful place.
