Regardless of how the U.S. Supreme Court rules on the constitutionality of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, hospitals and many health care organizations will continue working to improve the health of its communities.
In South Carolina, hospitals are not waiting for the decision to begin rebuilding its health care delivery system. For the past six years, South Carolina hospitals have focused on improving quality, enhancing their efficiency and improving the health of its communities.
While the debate in Washington D.C. drags on for at least one more day, South Carolina’s hospitals and their partners will continue to take action.
“Our goal is to provide high quality care while enhancing efficiency and reducing costs,” said South Carolina Hospital Association President & CEO Thornton Kirby. “We will continue to advocate for government policies that support our efforts.”
What will be the decision be by the justices? There are speculations on the various rulings and its implications. But what they will be and how it will play out is left to be said.
I anticipate that I will be watching it unfold in various mediums tomorrow. Will you?
